God Moves in a Mysterious Way | Watercolor landscape painting inspired by a hymn

$250.00

This landscape painting was inspired by the hymn “God Moves in a Mysterious Way”

Author: William Cowper (1774) “God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform. He plants his footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines of never failing skill He treasures up his bright designs, and works his sovereign will.

“And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:16

Hymnscapes, landscapes inspired by hymns, began in February of 2020. I have always loved to sing hymns, they have always been a rich source of truth and worship for me. I hope these images help you sing and hear the words anew.

Psalm 96:11-12 “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy”
